Someone in my city decided to put an ad on my university career website. The ad said they were looking for a woman to work front desk at a women's health studio. I decided to reply.
I went in to interview and I felt that the person who performed it was really nice and understanding. She said her usual, "I am doing two more weeks of interviews. I will let you know. If you do not hear from me, you can e-mail me and ask what is going on. I never heard back.
I sent an e-mail last week and did not hear anything until yesterday stating that she had hired someone who had been a member of her studio for many years.
This makes me wonder if she was looking to interview candidates on purpose to draw up some more business while she had intended on hiring someone she has known all along.
Do people do this for business intent?
