Dear friends (and I do consider all of you to be my friends),

After far too long in dead-end jobs, temporary positions, and businesses doomed to failure, I am now working for a nationwide credit card company. I will refrain from mentioning the name of the company here, because I do not wish to violate any policies that prevent endorsements, but I am most pleased with my employer.

I am working phones, which I have done before. I enjoy this, because I like interacting with people, but hate looking at them. I particularly enjoy my new job, because I'm telling people that we can improve their existing credit products. We're jokingly known as the "Unicorns and Rainbows" department, because we virtually always have good news for our customers.

I have dental, health and vision insurance. There is an onsite gym ($15 a month membership) and a cafe where they discount a healthful meal every day.

I have heard good things about this employer, and had applied twice before, but finally I got in, and am greatly appreciative of my new company.

Keep at it. If you struggle hard enough for long enough you might finally get things to work out for you.

Wish me well in my new endeavour, and I am
sincerely yours,

Ikari Gendo

It usually means years of paying our dues by working not so great jobs before we can reach the pinnacle of the job world but I'm sure once you get that dream job, it will be all worth it.
