I can't find a job in the area I live in, and I'm still at a community college not knowing what I'd like to do for a career. So what should I do? Should I try to go for a work study job? Or should I go for a apprenticeship? Has anyone my age and up been through something like this? I'm doing volunteer work but I know it might not be enough due to the area I live in and because I'm in a poverty filled neighborhood. Any tips and advice would be appreciated. :D

You mean a work study job at your college?
That seems a good idea, yes.

Yes, do a work study, and MOVE.

I grew up in poverty. All the people I grew up with either died, or are living toothless and penniless still in poverty. I'm doing well an hour away. I'm starting a PhD program next year. I own my own house, I can pay my bills, my teeth look great, and life is pretty good. Seriously. It's amazingly easily. I started out working, then with a two-year college, which placed me in a job, then a four-year college, and so on. Basically what you're doing.
