I signed up today to volunteer at the Primary school I once attended so that I can get out of the house. I'm excited!

Well done! That sounds like a brave and exciting step. It will be rewarding too, giving something back to the community/kids.

I once did a few weeks' work experience in a kindergarten, and from the social awkwardness side of things, it was actually surprisingly easy, as the small children were inquisitive and asked you lots of questions so you didn't necessarily have to keep thinking of things to say yourself.
