I am 16 years old looking for part time employment and I was wondering, how do I write a good resume and cover letter?.Also are there any jobs for people my age that dont rely on customer service/communication that much? all of the stereotypical jobs for people my age (fast food, retail etc) involve having good communication skills. can someone please give me advice. I need a job but no one will want to hire me when they find out that i don't have good communication skills (even though i dont disclose my autism, theyll still figure out that i have bad communication skills)

You need to consider jobs in industrial parks. Small businesses may also hire you if they think you have skills they can use. While you may be too young right now, it may help to start training for such jobs now. Where I live plumbing, heating, and AC jobs are done by old guys--I'm sure they would love to train the next generation of guys to do that sort of work--if you really want to that sort of work.

You're too young to work. But you can get simple part time jobs like delivering papers or cleaning floors and toilets.

I think you should disclose your autism to any social worker or boss that you meet. You can tell them you are a bit different and really want to try working. They will understand and may give you a simple job.
