Putting your hopes mostly on one job

I know I keep posting on here, but I have a dilemma. I have applied now to several jobs, most seasonal and have housing, but would require me to leave my husband behind and move somewhere else for a few months.

Then I found the job to hope for. It's only a few months, but they might hire you back for more. Its doing scientific work, I did similar work in the past very well. This is the closest job I found, only one hour one way drive. The only problems are I would have to make sure I get my car before the start of the job (I already have a license to drive) and husband is worried about me driving that much.

Anyway, what if another job gives me an offer before this one? In the past I took an offer then rejected it later for a different job but is that really nice?

Then I tell my aunt about the job and she does not support it, saying I need a job in this little town. She would rather see me in retail than doing a job that actually uses my degree and knowledge. People don't realize I'm trying to build a career. There is a big difference between customer service rep and a city ornithologist.

And now I won an interview for that job, but its in the other city! I can't seem to find a ride there because I still need to get my car! How do I explain this to the employer?
