Hi Guys,

I have a First-class/4.0 GPA degree in electrical engineering, and I want to take my education to the next level by getting an MSci. I'm very reluctant to quit my job, so I quite fancy doing a distance-learning course.

I know myself and a lot of Aspies have trouble getting organized and focused, so I thought I would ask folks here if they think it's a good idea? I found full-time education easy because there was so little else to get strung up about, however I can see distance-learning being hard, as I would have to study after work in time I'd otherwise use to relax and pursue my interests.

I have a wife and I think it would be unfair to financially burden her, because if I studied full-time I'd reduce our income by about 66%, however I feel under qualified for my job and I think there's a lot of academic snobbery at my workplace (note: I think my team, and line managers are excellent, I'm just concerned about my medium- and long-term prospects).
