Well, I aced my last online tutoring job interview, so I guess I'll be doing that until I can get on my own two feet, financially-speaking. My last few tutoring stints haven't been very enjoyable, but I'm not skilled or experienced in many things besides doing math homework. (Higher-level math and applying math in realistic-but-complex situations are beyond me.) I'm also getting counseling to help with finding a more suitable job and boosting my self-esteem; hopefully, something good will come from that.

P.S.: I'm curious about whether or not I personally should leave comments on YouTube, FanFictionDotNet, DeviantArt, Wikipedia, TV Tropes or any other websites that I frequent. I'm concerned about privacy and security issues. I also fear that I'm addicted to these websites because of all the time I've wasted and the sleep I've lost from just being a passive observer. I also might need help balancing play with work. (I should probably also mention that I don’t have any friends and that part of me was hoping I could use these websites - in addition to WrongPlanet - to make my own circle of friends with shared common interests.)

I tutored Calculus. Found out that my communication skills are too obtuse for any formal social dialogue. How did it work out for you?

Tutoring hasn't worked out well for me either, Deltaville. There were some pupils with whom I could not connect over the course of several days, either because they did not respect me or because they were so behind on what they needed to know that I would need to spend MUCH more time with them on the material (since there are some adolescents that would not get a lot of studying done on their own). This has led to meltdowns/breakdowns during my sessions. I just hope that I'll manage better with this online company, where I'll mostly be typing, writing, and drawing things for students instead of talking to them.

I do adult tutoring, it is much less stressful as far as I know? My dad used to to tutor in Jewish studies, as he was a rabbi. What age group do you tutor?
