I am in the same state as you and would strongly recommend against it to anyone. I am stuck in the Temp Trap unable to find a full time job because I have had too many temp jobs even though they have been in my field. I am 40 years old and have been told by recruiters & even job coaches that because of my Resume filled with all these short term jobs I am basically unemployable for anything other than temp work.
When I have gone on interviews the interviewer seems to be more concerned with "why have you been temping and unable to find a full time job" than the skills that I would bring to the organization..
I have the same experience in a different country. The problem is that once the interviewer starts looking to find out what's wrong with you, they generally find something.
