Jobs for someone like this?
I make more or less this same post every now and then.
See, most recommendations of careers (as opposed to just jobs) for aspies (including Temple Grandin's, before anyone goes and posts that) are a pretty complete miss for me. They've got a few problems:
1. The recommended jobs involve working alone a lot. I don't do very well with that, for the most part. I work most effectively with a partner or small team.
2. Many of them are technology-related. The idea of being paid to sit in front of a computer for 8 hours a day is already revolting to me. I'd want to put my fist through the monitor after about four. A job that's about computers sounds about as appealing as defusing landmines with a sledgehammer.
3. They're not socially conscious. I mean, I need to feel like the world is better off for what I'm doing in my career or I won't like it. I have a deep moral objection to working for any publicly-traded company, and a lesser one to working for smaller for-profit businesses. I don't see myself working for any for-profit group in the long-term.
4. Some of them are repetitious. I consider this a bad thing.
So, I'm just throwing my line out there for any ideas on aspie-friendly careers that have none of the above issues. ![]()

Yeah, I've looked through some of those and found them pretty frustrating though; nothing in them sounds at all appealing. Hence my asking here!
