I applied for an AT&T retail sales consultant position, took the online testing and failed. I've taken similar tests and have failed those. I'm far from the only person in this boat. But it's frustrating as these tests are, I feel they are a wonderful way to exclude people from certain companies. I believe you cannot accurately test someone for that sort of position, among other things. My mom has said that I would do well working in retail, but it would have to be in an intimate environment (not a big box store).
I start a job with an aircraft engine manufacturer next week, but I am dreading the job. Overnight hours doing inventory.
Where have I gone wrong career-wise? I've never worked a job I've truly liked, my career path is probably unrealistic
