I've been working in a grocery store bakery for two years and have recently transferred to work under a manager who knows I have Aspergers and is more than willing to take a different approach in managing me than her NT staff; and because of her I now have a decent shot at becoming assistant department manager. One issue she and I both noticed is that when I'm over on the cake side of the bakery, I slow right down (I am a very fast worker so this is unusual) and we figure that I get so obsessed over the small details of cake decorating that I lose track of time and therefore slow right down. My usual tactic of making a to-do list doesn't work for this. Any tips on what I can do? The only thing I can think of is set my phone to go off at when I should be done a certain task (she allows cell phones on the floor, how awesome is that?!).
