While a plumber often requires social interaction that isn't appropriate for someone with severe social anxiety, the conversations are quite direct and scripted, so someone with face blindness and an inability to pick up body language may still excel. There is a lot of problem solving involved--older homes like mine have new hardware added onto the the old stuff.

The fuel oil delivery guy rarely gets to talk to anyone. Unlikely to be replaced by robots, as a long heavy hose needs to be carefully placed to deliver the oil. You do need to live someplace that gets real winters.
