It has been almost 9 days since the manager of the Casey's that I work at berated me for a lot of things.

Today, I got a voicemail from the manager of the car wash adjacent to the store(It's a Casey's car wash, not a seperate business)telling me that that same manager told him that he should see if I was interested in working there. Now, this might be a good opprotunity for me to get a fresh start and therefore more hours(I'm only getting 1 shift per week now because the manager is not impressed with me)without having to find a new job.

Now, can anyone tell me what exactly I would be doing at a car wash? As far as I know it's the kind of car wash you just slowly drive your vehicle through. I didn't know there even were people working in those things until I started working at Casey's 3 months ago. I don't want to ask the manager that question, then be forced to say yes or no on the spot, so that's why I'm asking on here.

I would maybe have lunch, or something similar, outside and watch what employees visibly do. Probably go through it, too. Should give an indication.
Another potential option is asking around, other employees might know.

Maybe your manager thinks there will be an easier position there, it could be one of those positions where there's next to no actual work to do, but there's still the need for an employee to wait there for infrequent required tasks.
But be wary if transferring there requires signing a new employment contract. This kind of transfer has become a popular method of getting rid of employees without risk - they offer a new contract with a 'probation period' in which they can terminate the employee for near any reason.
