Has anyone ever been a machine operator? Im starting it next week and i am excited about it. I left retail because it was getting stressful working overnights and dealing with coupons, but it was more so because of the overnightss

Good luck.

Sounds like quite a suitable job for an Aspie.

I learned to run a vertical mill back in the '80s. Numerical control was just coming into vogue, so I learned just enough to be able to tell the union operator what needed to be done, even though I was not allowed to take part in any production runs.

It was fun, though.

I own and operate my own, it's frustrating if anything goes wrong, but generally it's satisfying and rewarding, I think you'll be pleased.
