I now have a job interview for the cell phone store!! ! If i get it ill have enough money to save my apartment!! ! I have a phone from them so i guess that was a positive point.

I use my phone for everything...

I wish you could get a Federal job involving animals. But I don't blame you for being excited about this position.

I wish too but ive worked in a store before and i enjoyed it... ive been cleaning my place up in case i have to move but now i realize how nice my place is...

And now I have another interview at a coffee shop... Not as good as the Sprint store but could be something to keep my place.

Would you split the tips at the coffee shop? Might make up for any wage difference between the two?

Do you see a difference between selling at a coffee shop and selling at a cellphone store?
Seems to me a Cellphone store would require direct sales, some sort of sales pitch, trying to get customers to add on things to their accounts or phones...
The coffee shop, on the other hand, seems to be a place people come in mostly already knowing what they want.
You take their order, ask if they want anything else, make their drink and/or food item, and you're done with them and on to the next customer.

For me... I'd fare better with the coffee shop because of this. I'm not good at selling people things they're not sure they want or need.

The issue is I woke up this morning really suddenly I'll with flu-like symptoms...

I'm sorry you're not feeling well.

But....you probably should go to the interview....just take precautions.

It's not quite the same thing: But I almost didn't go for an interview because I was lazy. This interview was for a job which turned out to be my present job. I've been at my present job almost 40 years.

Nevermind since I got the rent based on income apartment kinda near my relatives. But by myself, which is good.

Yep. These sorts of places seem to be based on income.

It's good and bad.

It's good because, then, you can pay a decent rent when you are unable to work.

It's bad when you want to get a job and get out of the cycle of dependency-----but getting a job would raise your rent to the point where you might have to get a new apartment.

This is why SSI, Section 8, etc., can really suck...and can really make it difficult for people to get out of this "system."
