Hi.

I consider opposing to this position after finishing the university degree.

I´m not worried about the opposition exams, the are selective theoretical exams and practical cases, level is high, but it can be approved studying hard. What worries me is the social element, basically the job consists in to keep control of public speeding, to prepare and execute General State Budgets and to calculate the public deficit.

I´m good at law, math and accounting, so I´m not worried about that part, what worries me is that this job may require to participate in meetings with other embers of the Administration, politicians, etc. Also requires teamwork, know how to manage workers -like accounting technicians-,that kind of things. Supposedly I have "light asperger" but I´ve always been a social loser.

What do you guys think? Is it feasible for an asperger to try this?

I am not sure of Spanish culture, but I think it is very possible. You will need to learn the skills with working with others, but I find if you keep this at a professional level, it is much easier. Being quiet can also work in your favor. I think public service can be a good area to work in. Naturally, you need to see what the office culture is like. And different offices can have a very different culture.

I would certainly try. You can always move on and the experience will always be valuable.
