This post contains so much regret and worry.
15 years ago, when I was 12 years old, I got interested in game development, and started doing that casually. In a few years I also learned other stuff like basics of html and php, and built some web pages. But somehow i couldnt break into industry and get any formal experience. Then, after high school I got depressed, and mentally unstable. Because of mistaken treatment and meds, i had also adhd and problems with focus. After all that, I have a 2 year degree and I couldnt finish my bachelors (related to computer science). And i do not have a formal experience related to this field. Despite starting early and being smart (around 148 iq), I did not realize my expectations and became 27 years old. Also, 15 years ago it was easier to get into it and be a well known guy. I could have been wealthy by now. How am I going to change my situation? Will I ever be able to turn my life around? What would you do?

I can't get my mind off thinking about the past and lost opportunities

There is a lot of chaos now, which also means that there is a lot of opportunity for changing things.

Off-topic but she looked young in that photo! Assuming she was in her fifties or sixties around that time.

What has been getting me interviews was creating projects at my place of work, even if I got scolded for it, but I still put it on my resume and still got a few calls.

If I try hard maybe I can get interviews, but landing a job at this time wouldn't make me any happier. Because i started early but couldn't have a result on time. If I did, I could've been a millionaire by now. My unrealized expectations cause regret and despair. I can't forget the past, that's paralyzing and keeping me from doing anything now.

Am apt to think rather independantly , little outside the box, so to speak, ( at least by all outward appearances).
And found for myself . Was to be innovative with what I knew and grow from their .The USA has become a service base industry , it appears now . With alittle of a production Industry still exists . Seems to me there will always be room for innovation . But the trick is finding or maybe , riffing of off others tech to create innovation . especially things that might even improve other businesses tech.? Due to my disabilities . Might have seen bias in trying to get conventional work in the IT industry . Best wishes for your future employments or possible business start ups.
