I have an interview with a job agency in half an hour. It's a preliminary interview with just the agency, so they can give me a typing test and talk about what kind of job I'd be best suited for and such. When I spoke with them on Thursday, they said I had to bring my passport with me. That's why it was scheduled for today, and not on Thursday, because I didn't have my passport with me that day.

Except that I forgot to bring it to work with me this morning. I have an interview with an agency that's going to be helping me find a job, and yet I've screwed up on the "get to the interview prepared" test before I even walk in the door.

I can't sit stil, I'm so anxious. I just know they're going to hate me and refuse to send my CV to any companies because I'd wash out and embarrass them.

I wouldn't worry about this. I did a lot of work via agencies, and multiple people per day would come for interviews and forget to bring at least one of the required documents.

It is a pretty common mistake, and they would be behaving unusually harshly if they penalised you for this.

Just smile, repress.
Try to make eye contact as much as possible, don't cross your legs, and above all... RELAX!

You'll do okay!

Why on earth would they need a passport unless the job involved overseas travel? Sounds a bit shady to me.

Proof of identity and citizenship.
The interview actually went ok. I had a godawful set of aptitude tests to complete before I got to talk to anyone, but apart from getting frustrated with the glacial computer I had to complete them on, I found the typing relaxing. I like typing. By the time I had to smile and speak to a consultant, I think I was relaxed enough I did ok. They're going to put me forward for the job I initially applied for, and are confident they can find me other interviews as well within the next week or two.
