Don't know if this would apply to you or not, but people generally don't like me and get the impression I'm an idiot when they talk to me, but they usually like the work I do.

I've gotten jobs, including my present one, by going to work as casual labor. That bypasses the application, references, and interview process. You just show up and you start working.

Very often, an outfit that's hiring casual labor has more work than they can manage with the crews they got, so they're often open minded about hiring somebody new if they see that you've got some sense and you actually want to work.

It also gives you a chance to find out what the work consists of and to get a feel for how the operation is run and what the people there are like. Contrary to what you generally hear around here, some non-aspies are pretty good to work with.

If you don't like the job, you got a day's pay out of it, and you can try another one.

Well thank you buddy for your advice...

What kind of work are you looking for? Do they have an employment centers in your state? They usually have all kinds of resources and people that can help you get and keep a job. If you are diagnosed have you ever thought about Vocational Rehabilation? They help people with disabilties find and keep jobs. they'll even pay for you to go back to school if needed.

anything i can get my hands on and DVR seems to not work for me because i can't work anywhere and their assessment tests they have at places.i always get denied telling me i don't have the skills to work at or anything.it's no use for me to work at places and i can't do much if they keep on denying me work
