Has anyone here ever totally bombed a job interview? The worst interview I did was for a position at Kroger. I wasn't prepared at all, so I understand why they didn't hire me.

About a week ago, I had a job interview at the movie interview. This time I think I did very well. I dressed up, arrived early, answered questions with "yes ma'am" or "no ma'am", and I shook the interviewer's hand. They never called me back. I don't quite understand why. I always seem to have bad luck with getting hired. Nobody just wants to hire me, and I don't know what there is about me that makes me so unhire-able. Can anyone else relate?

Recently I have been going to some interviews. I make sure I read or watch something funny before. It can take some of the anxiety away.

Also I have done various preparation but sometime you can prepare a lot and still stall on a question. The worst are open question like 'tell me a about yourself...' Well that is not even a question but you get the idea.

I have I have a job councilor at prospect NAS. Apparently you should avoid making you answers too short, but all don't go on an on. She told me about of an interview with one of her clients at a library. The client was ask why she thought the reference system is important. She replied with the obvious answer 'So you don't loose the books', but they were looking for a longer more in depth answer.

Basically you have to BS a bit.

I always have trouble getting jobs. I had a foot in for my summer job because it's at a camp I went to as a child, but with actual interviews I have the hardest time! I feel your pain :(

I did worse than that. I didn't even show up.

Interview anxiety is one of the main reasons why I haven't looked for any more employment.

I've been accepted from a lot of interviews, probably because I'm good at hiding my fears for a while. Then I get anxious after, then I get accepted because I did a good job faking being good.

Not that I've had to interview for many jobs, as I'm only 16. However I've had two jobs already with interviews and I had to audition twice to get into my writing school!
