According to various articles, Spanish and Arabic translators/interpreters
are the top two languages in high demand.
To set things straight for anyone else considering a career
as an interpreter/translator, translators work with the written word
and interpreters work with the spoken word.
Also, Portland Community College has an interpreter training program.
It's only for sign language but may look into this
to determine what it could do for people with classic autism.
