See poll. I think it's interesting to see what the employment status is like for wp users. Hopefully enough of you will respond honestly to the poll to make the poll results meaningful.

Sorry to say but the results will probably be a little skewed by the fact that those who come to this board tend to be higher functioning and are more likely to be part of the 10% that is employed to their ability (or at least underemployed group).

I am employed but my job doesn't pay very well so benfits (known as Disability Support Pension in Australia) still make up the bulk of my income. I would say my percentage is about 40% wages 60% DSP.

A very good point- people over 50 still need to support themselves!

A cut off point of retirement age at 65 would be more reasonable.

I could have made the age range even smaller, it doesn't matter. The point is just to compare employment status for an age range where we're most likely to be employed. Think of it like taking a sample to gauge stats for a larger population.
