ok i work at target 4 extra money and i was covering the fitting room attendant's lunch last summer. This lady and her husband wanted to try on bathing suits but the limit is 6 items. For women that means a top and a bottom counts as two pieces because they are sold separately. this lady wanted to try on 10 items and the guy only had two trunks and i politely told her(this job has helped with my social skills haha) she could only do 6 because thats store policy. she got mad and i mean threw a fit and shouted "THATS A DUMB RULE!! !!" and threw them at me and ran off. her husband just stood there all embarrased and slightly afraid he would have ended up sleeping on the couch that night...if he made it alive haha. Anyone have any funny work stories I've got plenty more where that came from

Let's see ... she had 10 items ... he had 2 ... the rule is "6 items or less per person" ...

Could they have shared a fitting room?

Hm I guess I have had a few amusing situations.

My first job was at a Quizno's right after it opened (it was the only one in town) so it was super busy right around lunch time. I had an assistant major that was a very soulful guy... like the male equivalent of a diva. Once during the rush of lunch we had a sing along of "We Are Family". The customers were looking at us like wtf...

This I didn't witness but my boss when I worked at an ice rink shop told me about it...

There was this guy working there who was the epitome of a dumb jock. The Dallas Stars practiced at this ice rink, and since he was the only employee there not in high school or college, he almost always worked the early shift which was during the Stars practice. The first shift we worked together he tried to be all nice and buy me dinner to hit on me. I let him continue ordering us pizza every shift thereafter so I didn't have to pay for dinner. He was pretty disappointed when a few weeks later I had to take time off to go pick up my boyfriend from the airport who was coming to visit me in college haha.

Anyway, during the Stars practice he would always leave the store and go over to the rink to watch them. We weren't supposed to do this because there is really expensive equipment in the shop, like racks of 20+ hockey sticks that cost $200 or more a piece and custom made jerseys that went for almost $1000. My boss got onto him all the time about it, and finally one day she had had enough. She worked in the corporate offices next door and only came in the store to help when we needed it like during minor/junior league games.

So she waited until practice started and walked over to the shop through the outside door that doesn't pass by the practice rink. Sure enough, the shop was empty. She got another corporate guy to help her, and she grabbed ALL of the super expensive sticks and took them next door, basically like $10k worth of merchandise.

So when this guy comes back in the shop, he notices that all of the sticks are gone and thinks that all of them were stolen. He calls my boss and she doesn't tell him she has them so he continues to think they're stolen. He ended up getting fired because of this. I think she was just looking for a reason to get rid of him :P
