Everytinme people at work want top know me outside of work, i do my best not to dilvuldge information.

I think that's a good idea - I've found that co-workers are addicted to gossiping. I am female, though; I hope the males are different. Unfortunately, I tend to feel like I would be rude to fail to answer questons, which has caused me no end of troubles at previous jobs.
