Proving Oneself and Parrents

I am an Aspie, my mother is making me prove that I can live independently. I am tired of proving myself and overcoming, I have already established that it doesn't work in my life. Have you struggled with a similar situation? How do you recommend I deal with this? How do I get her to engage in a paradigm shift in her thinking about Asperger's. Thanks very much!

What are you really trying to accomplish? Are you trying to move back in with her? If not, what do you have to prove to her and why?

EDIT:
I see from your other thread that you are living with your parents. Keep in mind that it's very likely that you will outlive both your parents. Perhaps she's trying to get you "up to speed" in another environment before they're both gone.

I am REALLY trying to accomplish being able to live my life. I am not trying to move back with her. She is still very heavily in my life, and they still control my finances. We live in the same city and both my parrents are in my life.
