Well, 'supervisor' technically.

A guy I used to work with at my first job got word that I needed employment. He put in a word for me with the head honchos at the store he works for now. They were in need of a new supervisor (same thing as manager, but paid a tad less  ), and knew I had management experience. Of course I jumped on the opportunity, and have now been working there a few weeks.

I'm worried, though. Where I used to work, my job consisted of nothing. I literally sat for hours on end and got paid for it. It was very laid-back and simple, and I could get away with just about anything. I also had been there for several years and knew everybody well, which made for a very comfortable environment and I didn't mind being in charge at all. Basically, this store is a lot more serious, and I'm worried that I'll mess something up being in the position I'm in, once I'm done training and on my own.

I hope to eventually get the hang of it, but I'm afraid getting to that point of comfort will be hard.

Thank you! I sure hope so.

I read on the schedule today that I'll be opening AND closing on my own next Sunday. 8O
