What do I take with me?

My resume has basically nothing on it. I don't even know what to put. This is for a minimum wage job (I'm assuming). I just don't get why the hell I'd have to apply in person and can't just drop something off and hide under the covers and hope they call.

It's to be a projectionist. I tried to get a job like this a few years ago and the same theater just conned someone who already worked there into doing it for free.

How do I answer questions like...

Is this a job or a career? (obviously just a job, but there's no diplomatic way of saying "Who the hell takes a minimum wage job for a career?" but saying I just want to do it for spare money sounds bitchy)

Why is your resume blank? (because I've had to deal with some personal garabage for the last few years. It's not totally blank but the IT place I worked at a few years ago is bankrupt and they won't be able to contact anyone)

What are you doing now? (dropped out of school. Can I make them believe I'm still enrolled? Can they prove I'm not?)

Helphelphelp. If I don't get some kind of a job now, the whole situation will just get worse and it's very difficult to find something like this that requires absolutely no social interaction at all.

Put your High school education on it and anything you have ever been a member of such as a college. Best thing is to ask to speak to the manager there and say you

show up on time
pay attention to detail
this is a long term job for you because you really like being a projectionist
dress in business style clothes like a suit

Did you make some voluntary work? Or may you could just tell that took care for a relative (best tell tell the he is dead now so it will not happen again)?

When I got there, they'd already filled it. They filled it a long time ago but the ad was still in the paper TONIGHT for f**k's sakes.

But yeah, I did make up a lot of stuff.

Good! you gained job seeking experience. Now, go into stores, ask for the manager, hand your resume to the manager and say you would like to work there. Yes, it is embarassing, humiliating, and rejection hurts. BUT you've gotta apply to jobs which are NOT even advertised in the paper.

of course you want a job, you are just saying that to help yourself to deal with rejection. keep trying - you have to go through a lot of crap before you find one. but i know you will, eventually.

No. I mean I really don't want a job. I haven't even been looking for one. It's just that that one happened to show up in the paper and looked ideal.

you just do not know what you are missing. i mean, unless you have someone to house you, dress you, and feed you (parents), you need a job to survive.
