I got my son one of those bouncy balls for the Holidays.
It looks like those big gym balls with a handle on it. He sits on it and happily bounces all over the house.
I have found this is very good for him. He has been more calm and collected it seems.
The little trampolim we have for him since he was very little helped as well. He grew out of that now and doesn't use it as much.
I think eventually this will happen with the bouncy ball too.
Does anyone knows of more physical activities that help with the calming and centering your child?
Preferably something they can do on their own?

our best sensory toy purchase to date is an Ikea swing/chair.
"EKORRE"

it is discontinued in the US, but people still have them on ebay.On ebay

It is mounted in our living room and our kids play on it every single day... it has been up for months.

I've been thinking of getting an indoor swing chair from Ikea for my kids too. I know they'll fight over it though. We bought a fort/swingset last year for the backyard despite having a school playground right across the street- I took some convincing my hubby that we should get it, but my AS DD loves to swing and it calms her(there's no swings at teh school and the nearest park with swings is not within walking dstance). I'm glad we did buy it. My kids use it all the time and there's enough swings for them all.

We also have a rocking thing from Ikea- it's molded plastic and they can sit on it and rock back and forth. Ikea also has a floor balance rocker for standing/surfing on. Check out their website for some good ideas.
