Olivia's got some very painful poops. I don't leave her sitting in it by any means but when she goes #2, it really stings her butt and I have to apply the "no more ouchie cream" every time I change her.

Is it her diet? Is there something we can give her like an antacid? I wonder if she has heartburn too.

My son had that too, on and off for months to a year, and we used creams too, etc. We cut out grape juice for a while because someone said it could be guilty, and it made a small diffference, but the culprit turned out to be gluten. My son is celiac, and once we eliminated gluten his ( very red and sore ) bottom healed up fast, ( though the intermittent/increasing diarrheoa took longer to disappear ).

Probably means something is going through her system way too fast.

I'd get her back on a simpler diet and then reintroduce stuff slowly (like once a week) until you figure out what her body isn't handling right.

My son had this too, when he was baby. It went on for 7 months, and we discovered he was lactose intollerant. Switched to soy formula and the issue cleared up practically overnight. PS, weirdly enough he grew out of this, and we discovered he is lactose tollerant at approximatley age 11...I have no idea why these things happen.

Food allergy; overproduction of stomach acid; poor/incomplete digestion of foods; yeast infection might even be worth exploring.

Same here. My son had it for a good few years before we figured out all that was going on. If you know what might be causing it, try pulling it and reintroducing it slowly after 2-3 weeks. Boudreau's Butt Paste or Triple Paste are both available at Walgreens or similar chain drug stores.

narrowed it down to a handful of possible foods:

juice. We've been giving her white grape/peach lately.
Hot dogs. I usually dress it with ketchup and mustard for her.
chocolate milk.
