Hello,


My name is Nikki Caswell and I am conducting a survey for my Experimental Psychology course at New Jersey City University for Professor Linda Baron’s survey assignment. The purpose for this research is to reach out to low-income parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The questions provided will regard you, as the parent, on your mental health and well-being along with other aspects pertaining to your relationship with your child(ren) on the spectrum.


The criteria to participate in this survey are as follows:

- Parents at or between the ages of 18 - 45

- Education completion at the maximum of high school diploma/GED

- Income at the US poverty line (I-864P form)

- Have at least one child on the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)


If all that is listed above applies to you, please consider to continue on with the survey and answer as accurately and honestly as possible. It will take no longer than five minutes of your time and you can withdraw from completing at any given time. All of the answers provided will remain anonymous and confidential.


If you do not fit under the criteria and yet know someone who does, please forward this survey for them to consider on participating. You can also have your spouse/partner/other parent of the child(ren) participate with their own survey form if you do fit and want to participate. It would be greatly appreciated to pass this survey on to help obtain as many participants as I possibly can. Thank you for your time.

The survey I have is from Qualtrics via njcu.co1.qualtrics.com. The only way I can share is by distributing through email, which one can use a 'junk' email/minimal confidential information such as one's name so that no information other than the survey answers are given. It is twenty multiple choice questions at best.
