I honestly find writing to be over-rated to be honest.
Realistilcally, typing is becoming far more widespread and as such, hand-writing is becoming a lost art.
Teaching a child to spell is good but writing...eh. To me, Aspies have enough problems without worrying over writing and colouring.

Well, again, I couldn't disagree with you more.
What would be your first impression of a person whose writing was completely unintelligible? You couldn't recognize a single word....it just looked like a bunch of scribbles. You'd think that person was an idiot, or mentally ill, or on drugs.....
Don't sit there and try and make excuses....try to dismiss because most AS kids can't write for crap and their parents are too lazy to work with them. Writing is very important and is apart of people's everyday lives. It needs to be labeled a top priority along with other important functions that these kids will need to be able to adequately perform when they're living on their own.
Why do I let you people upset me so much? Too many excuse makers here.....not many proactive parents. That's my view, anyway....
