My son also does not care for bathing (likes it once he's in but hates the idea of it). My advice is to make this a daily routine. Aspies work well with predictable routines and having it every other day makes it less of a memorable routine. I would also recommend making the process itself routine oriented. This can take a while to implement - to overcome resistence - but if the bath/shower is mandatory every day at exactly the same time (after waking up or before bed) and the process can be memorized (wash hair, wash face, wash body, wash privates) and you stick to this strict routine for long enough, eventually it will be more likely that they'll take over their own hygiene policing. But I agree with others that this will be significantly later in Aspies than typicals, patience is key :)
