For all of our Wrong Planet fathers - Happy upcoming Father's Day! :star:

Often we hear from mothers of ASD individuals, but less so from the fathers - as DW_a_mom (and others) stated. I'm not a parent, but I really like Caitlin's idea. Autism Hangout (link provided) has so many webinars and Craig Evans is the (step)father of an Autie - very well-done presentations by Craig Evans and impressive interviews.

Fathers Day has a special meaning to me in particular, since it was on a Fathers Day Sunday that my little girl was baptized; the best Dads day present I could have ever been given. I probably wouldn't have ever realized I have Asperger's, let alone been diagnosed with it, had my daughter not first been found to have Pervasive Developmental Delay - Not Otherwise Specified. So you could say the two of us are walking along the same autistic path to self discovery.

I am the father of a 2E Child. While I have played a role in his development, his mother did the lion's share. She is a stay at home mother, and a fantastic one at that. I retire in 2 yrs., and shall be taking over much of the teaching. Right now, I am teaching him Physical Culture. I have a blog on his development from non-verbal to profoundly gifted and the methods used. Stop on in - there is much to offer parents of all types of children.
