NTs: do you think in pictures or words?

I think it's really hard to write characters' thoughts as anything BUT words in novels, because, I mean... we're using words - it's all we've got. In a movie it's far easier to show thoughts as images.

Also, when I write, I see my story as images like a movie (the same way that I picture the story when I'm reading a novel). All I have to do, then, is write down what I see, which is sometimes harder than it sounds. :)

Yes, I agree with this. When I try to write stories (key word=try!--I'm not very creative), I often will use words for the thoughts simply because, as you've said, that's all there is to work with. As I am writing out these thoughts, I picture the character visualizing the thoughts though, but I suppose a reader would not pick up on that.
