I took the food he wouldn't eat out of his room because I thought it wasn't good if I left it there for him to get attached to, he wasn't going to eat it anyway. I've always let him have all his obsessions and pretty much given him his way his whole life so it's understandable that he's freaking out now but I can't let this go on much longer, I'm just really worried if I have to take him to the hospital because he won't go willingly, I don't know what they will do to him. I tried to get his Dad to help me and he said just call the cops......ok, I will do that if I have to but I really don't want to. I did get him to drink some juice this morning though so that's a good sign.

Calling the cops would be the worst thing to do, and should only be an absolute last resort...If hospitalization is necessary but he wont go willingly I'd maybe look into other ways to go about it than having the cops try to handle it. Does he say anything about the issue? like have you brought up hospitalization and that it will become nessisary if he's losing too much weight from not eating and such?

I hate to say to try and force someone in a hospital, I mean I went to a psych ward willingly and don't particularly want to go to one again...so I understand its not the most ideal kind of thing but sometimes it is necessary and flat out refusing to eat is dangerous. But if it comes to that I'd maybe look into information of what steps to take, maybe cops wouldn't need to be involved and its best if they aren't since they don't always handle issues like that too well and might make it even more threatening.

Sorry I don't have better advice, aside from in the end a hospital may not be as bad as the health problems from not eating.
