Totally believe him. Immune sensitivities occur in 95% of people on the spectrum. Immune-dysfunction and inflammation has been known to be a hallmark of ASD for quite a while (https://www.autismspeaks.org/science/sc ... ark-autism). Those markers are being studied as an inexpensive blood test for dx. The problem is it will not separate ASD from ADHD which has the same biological indications, and to a lessor extent many other learning disabilites. So ASD will appear to go from 1.6% of the population to closer to 15% or 20%. But more kids will start to get care for their chronic low grade medical issues which effect their brains.

I think some of this is verging on quackery but fairly harmless quackery. I disagree with the poster who said we can get most vitamins from our diets so supplementation is useless. We usually can if we eat well, but the human disease history was riddled with vitamin deficiency disorders before supplementation, fortification and more diverse food supplies were available.

8oz glass of water every few hours may be too much water for a child. But there's no harm in making sure that water is available and you encourage her to drink from ready supplies when she is thirsty - and of course, encouraging water over all other beverages is pretty good advice.
