There's nothing wrong with playing those sorts of games.... millions of people do every day (myself included) with no problem.

If you ban toy guns and swords, kids will improvise their own out of sticks and pieces of wood. As long as they don't whack another child over the head with them, it's better to leave them be.

Get real, we are at War! The news is constant. 18 year olds dying in Iraq. The message is you will be there, for the war on terror will never end. Shoot first, hit the mark, or come home in a box.

Just how do think this affects young men? Now be a good boy and think nice thoughts, till we send you out to kill or die.

I credit being alive at sixty with the superior combat skills I learned as a child.

Drawing tombstones is good, he is thinking about it. The only question is, will it be in Arabic or English.

We are older than our years, before he is grown this will be worldwide. Where is the front?

Yes, you have to show resolve, and the flag, and it is children who die. It is boys who are drafted, sent to charge machine guns, they have to run out of ammo sometime.

If they question it, punish them to silence, if they prepare, punish them for being prepared.

Read some history, Crusades last for a hundred years. Figure the next three generations are going to locked into a death struggle, with growing technology, everywhere, because of the mindless acts of this generation.

Involve him in something useful, martial arts, knife fighting, explosives, survival skills, hunting, tracking, ambush, a copy of Janes small arms, teach him to field strip enemy weapons, the AK series, and the art of snipeing. Infiltration and evasion saved me. There are schools. The Army teaches you how to die.

His grandchildren may end this war. It will be the same for your daughters, no one will be exempt.

You started a religious war, at least teach your children to survive. One Billion Islamic people are willing to die for their cause.

This might seem improper, mentioning it, but it is what your children hear every day, the wonderful future their parents have made for them. 68,000 of my generation came home in a box, this will be much worse.

I think your son is doing well, considering.

Sobering thoughts but we can't just hide our heads in the sand and think it's not happening. Life isn't all "nicey-nice" and care bears and Barney the Dinosaur and so on.

I know that when I was going through my teenage years, I ran an entire gauntlet of suicidal thoughts (mostly jumping off a cliff type), athough I was clinically depressed and was put on prozac for 2 years.

Definitely get theraputic and/or psychiatric help, though, just to be on the safe side.
