I'm back to get some support and also post an update...
My son is 16 months old. We went to see a speech therapist yesterday and she basically confirmed that he lacks joint attention, does not imitate, does not respond to his name and is missing milestones from 3-6 months of age. She also said he is not ready for speech therapy yet and she recommends we start with behavioral therapy.
I can't say any of this was surprising news to me, but I guess it was just depressing to hear it.
Anyone been in the same boat? If so how is your kid doing nowadays?
