Hi, just thought I would up date you all. An appeal has just gone in on my sons behalf for school funding. Me, the school and anyone else working with my son can't believe that the first application was actually knocked back. My son J is 10 he has AS, GAD,ADHD,OCD and a tourettes dx.

This time around there has also been a report from his autism teacher and the specialist consultant, cant believe reports from the autism school my son attends all day wednesday and for an hour on Saturday weren't asked for by his mainstream school the first time round. Ah well my fault to, I just assumed the mainstream school knew what they were doing. I think they to assumed that J's application was in the bag so to speak.

Anyway part of the report from J's autism teacher says that he is struggling even in their autism programs. :( That was a little hard to hear, but honest I guess. next step if all this doesn't work= I guess I will just have to march myself and my son and anyone else willing to attend into the education dept office.

Crossing my fingers, wishing good Karma, sending a prayer ... whatever it takes ;) I hope it goes throught this time. Good luck and thanks for the update.

PS - reading reports on our kids is awful. The reports focus on the weaknesses because, well, it serves a purpose, but isn't who our kids are. But I know what you mean, that it was hard to read.
