Ooh, I bet that's going to get some (metaphorical) hackles up around here!

The ads the ad service has been selecting for us have, to say the least, been frustrating. Unfortunately, the way the ad service is set up, we don't control the ads. I really wish we had some way to keep off the stuff that conflicts with the philosophies and mission of this site. While we're a pretty big umbrella, there are some positions we're pretty universally against. Like the idea that there is a "cure" for autism.\

If you want some different ads, google composting. I've had pretty much non-stop compost bin ads since I did that, lol.

Adds are a necessity for sites survival. Adds are not selected by the sites admins but by google. Google select adds with an internal engine (for istance adds about autism on an autism sites and sort it for relevance). You can't make google change, you can't make the market rule change, just don't look at them.

I find the idea of a "cure" for Autism quite offensive. My son, daughter and husband are amazing just the way they are. Sure, sometimes they can be a handful lol but you would have trouble coming across a smarter, more honest, loving group of people. It is soooo nice to have someone say "Yep your bum does look big in that" and know that it comes from a place of pure honesty and then when they say " you look really pretty" it lights up my world :)

A cure for people who are nasty and Judgemental?? Now there is something someone should work on!
