I think he's absolutely right. I read an article in SciAm this morning about integrating basic science method in very early schooling so that kids aren't alien to it later in life.

This almost sounds like the stuff John Taylor Gatto talks about. For those who do not know of Mr. Gatto's works, simple Google the name and you will see what he talks about.
