Does anyone have experience with an overnight camp that works with children with aspergers.

Not one specific to AS, no. My son has, however, been going to Boy Scout camp successfully since he was 10, and was able to do the 4 nights at outdoor ed OK (also when he was 10). He will semi-meltdown once during the week, but sees the signs well enough to do so in a controlled manner that is acceptable for the environment (at scout camp, for example, he wander a little into the woods where he can see them but they can't see him, and the leaders know he might do this).

I never heard of one specifically. But, like DW said, scout camp is alright. They provide a pretty structured and controlled environment. I absolutely loved sleep away camps. Sports camps are also fun, but scouts would be better for this situation, I think. The one I went to provided several class options (archery, drama, etc.) Many camps do, which can be good for expanding or deepening your child's interests. I am sure you can get accommodations for your child. Socially, I just hung out with the counselors, rather than the children. Being social in the right way was difficult, but I have terribly fond memories anyhow.

Yet another positive post for boy scout camp. My son's done it successfully for three years now, and he LOVES it.
