Different, But Not Less
by RS Davis

...I've seen a lot of movies on Autism and Asperger's, from the excellent Mozart and the Whale to the sweet but schmaltzy Adam, which, coincidentally, stars Danes' husband, Hugh Dancy. But like Grandin's book, this film takes it to a whole other level...

It was awesome. I got HBO just so I could see it and I certainly was in no way disappointed. I let my older daughter see it who was recently diagnosed with AS. It really blew her away and really opened her up, I was so excited.
You have to give Temple's Mother a lot of credit for not giving up on her child. Im thankful for my own Mother.....I was not diagnosed until a few years ago but my Mom was always understanding of my differences. She always made me feel loved which was a sharp contrast from the rest of the world.
Temple Grandin also made the list of the top 100 influential people of 2010 (time magazine)... She is a shining example to the rest of this world!

I was just reading the article about the top 100 influential people of 2010 and it said that Jenny McCarthy did not make the cut....Poor Jenny  *thick, pudding like, sarcasm*

Thanks! I should remember to look for it in the rental store (we're not "advanced" enough to be on netflix ;) )

Netflix has it to save, not add, though, so I don't think its been released yet. Of course, there's always Pirate Bay...

I'm different, and that's a good thing. Different doesn't necessarily mean inferior.
