Not everyone fits into the right mold for school. I think when it comes to autism, the person's development is different than their peers and most services are very reasonable. I began failing in school, and then when given services I still couldn't deal with the school environment, I don't want anyone else to have to do the same in the name of "no excuses". I would see this more applying as a problem with labeling kids excessively with things like ADHD or general behavioural problems.
