Hello, my name is Lucas Carvalho (Oak in Portuguese). I've had Asperger's for as long as I can remember, and there's been both good and bad moments. I've been recovering from most of the symptoms recently, and my school has recently invited me to be a motivational speaker for parents of children with AS. While the details are still being set up, I'd like to say a quick message here-

Time makes things better. I've met so many people with ASD, ADHD, and other conditions... Most of them improved over time. I understand you may be going through a rough patch, but hang in there.

Also, I've documented my life since November 15 2010. In the site below, I posted how I dealt with some situations, and even an original essay on my personal take on what AS is. The link is on my signature.

There is an error in the title of your post. You typed "ASD parents" when in fact you meant to type " parents of ASD children". See, i am an ASD parent myself. I am a parent with Asperger's syndrome. So your title is misleading.

Thank you for the warm welcomes, and my apologies for the misleading title. English is my second language, so I'm still confused now and then by small things

Welcome! I thought you meant parents with ASD as well, but it doesn't matter. I'm both an aspie myself and have ASD kids. :)
