We can't diagnose over the internet and we are not qualified to diagnose. If you have concerns, it would be best to see a doctor. They can do things for you that we could never hope to do here. :)

It sounds like bipolar, hormone issues and blood sugar issues would all fit the description you gave best. Your family general physician would be able to rule out hormone and blood sugar issues, but mental health issues tend to be a weak area for physicians so you would need to see a psychiatrist or psychologist for that.

My daughter(now 19 years old) was diagnosed with Bipolar 1(mania) when she was 11 years old. I had never considered Aspergers as a possible cause for her behaviors and quirks over the years, until recently when I began learning more about the different characteristics of Autism. I wish I had known then, what I know now, because I would have interjected this possibility to her Dr.
Her symptoms seemed to escalate once she started the med marry-go-round they put her on. She's been med-free for over three years now, and all is well with the mania/depression. A person goes through a lot of changes between the ages of 11 and 19, so perhaps she's learned some better coping skills for her feelings over the years.

The internet is a good source of information(some good, some bad of course), and you should investigate both Autism and Bi-polar disorder to get a better idea of which direction you may be leaning. Good luck to you!
