Our seven year old Jamie has now been confirmed twice as an Aspie - and I just wanted to say thanks to those people who encouraged us to get the diagnosis. I know there may be other parents out there like us who are afraid of getting the diagnosis confirmed - but the impact on us has been enourmous. Firstly we have found a great pschy who is helping John (husband) and I with lots of early intervention for James. Everything we have done so far has made him much less anxious (no longer chews the tips of his fingers till they bleed) and we are all alot calmer - the yelling due to frustration has decreased enormously. Above all we are now enjoying the Aspie side of James because we are understanding it alot better - and we can now appreciate even more how special he is.

So for anyone out there who's scared to take the step - I recommend it..for us it has made our whole family happier....and thanks again to those who gave advice months ago
