Olivia is very fickle when it comes to her TV watching. One day, she'll like a program and the next she'll act as if she's afraid of it.

One in particular is a very innocent, cute and educational program called Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! She used to love it but now hates it. And Blue's Clues. I have no idea what happened there. Kind of figures that when she got old enough to play along and respond to what's going on, she'll stop liking it.

I think that is within the range of normal. Maybe they are just practicing asserting opinion and taste; I'm not sure. Regardless, there is no cost in going with it, so ... Go with it. Let her turn it off.

It gets real fun when they decide to change their minds 5 times in 20 minutes. For that, I set simple rules. You can change your mind ONCE on this today, so consider you second choice carefully.

I am often perplexed by similar behavior. From food to toys to games, DS will occasionally state that something that was formerly an absolute favorite he now "hates". Sometimes the favorites come back but sometimes they are banished forever :) !

I am that way about clothes all my life. I drive my mom nuts with my ever changing taste in clothes. I dont have that many clothes right now and half those I wont wear. My sister took me clothes shopping once and found out how picky I am when I had no clothes cuz we moved from a moldy house and all the clothes had to be thrown away. I really hated that...I had some tresured faverates that I had to donate to the landfill. I hate being so picky but if it doesnt feel right, fit right, overwelms me with its design or texture...then I wont wear it. Plus it has to actaully look good on me too.

As for the TV show...maybe one episode had something that bothered her sensory problems and then she noticed it in other shows too.
Most of my pickyness is due to sensory problems.
