My daughter 15yrs old has always been clumsy, She was diagnosed with ADD and more recently GAD. She has been taking Ritalin for ADD which has helped with the clumsiness and other difficulties, but she will still have minor mishaps daily.

I suspected dyspraxia she had to assessments with the same OT twice who ruled it out, she did feel her problem is depth perception.

My worry is that when my daughter has forgotten to take her meds for a day she has serious accidents which result in her been badly bruised, she falls over things at school, down the stairs bumps into things and this is very embarrassing and off course adds to her anxiety. She falls of the footpaths, breaks things etc.

Recently she had a blood test and her liver readings were a little higher not a real concern according to the doctor as she also had an ear infection and glands were swollen which can sometimes effect the liver reading, but just to be safe she recommended that we stop meds of 3 weeks and redo bloods.

Whilst off the meds she seriously hurt herself in the swimming pool fell down a flight of stairs, she feel off a footpath on to on coming cars nearly got run over and other more serious accidents. her body covered in bruises and when she puts a cup or glass or any object down she bangs it really hard, she drops things unto the floor etc.

Any suggestions why this is happening or anything that could help her the meds diffidently help but I don't want her to have to take them permanently if she can manage other difficulties without them.

She has a lot of ASD traits? her brother has ASD dx

Have you looked at loose joints, hypermobility? Think back towards the end of pregnancy, how the loosening of joints made you so clumsy. It's a possibility, anyway.

Sorry for not having explained that properly. I guess I thought putting the two terms together, loose joints and hyper mobility was self-explanatory. It is loose joints. I've written just a little more in your other thread.
